At Saint Peter's, we are here for your sacramental needs.
A sacrament is an outward sign of inward grace instituted by Christ. Through ordinary, tangible things, like bread, wine, oil, and water, God's grace comes down to us, and the mystery of salvation is made alive. By receiving the Church's sacraments, we come to share in God's life and He comes to live in us, preparing us to see Him face-to-face in heaven. There are three kinds of sacraments: the Sacraments of Initiation, the Sacraments of Healing, and the Sacraments of Service.
The Sacraments of Initiation are Baptism, the Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation. The Christian life begins in baptism, as our sins are washed away in its waters and we enter into Christ's death and resurrection. We then receive Christ's Body and Blood in the Eucharist, which gives us the strength to persevere in the Christian life. In Confirmation, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and sent out to bear witness to the faith.
