Since 1952 Court St. Peter #1618 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) has been a vital part of parish life at St. Peter’s Church. As part of an international organization under the patronage of the Blessed Mother, Court St. Peter is active in our parish and our community as a witness for our Catholic beliefs through worship, service, and action. It is a diverse group of more than 80 women.
Activities such as days of recollection and special Masses provide spiritual growth and consolation. Each year, Court St. Peter hosts one fund raiser, a Holiday Craft Fair, to support charitable and spiritual initiatives in Charles County and beyond. Proceeds go to local charities such as Health Partners, Children’s Aid, Angel’s Watch, Fuller House, The Catherine Foundation, and Catholic Charities. Parish ministries such as the Family Program, St. Peter’s School, St. Peter’s Scholarship Fund and St. Peter’s Church are major beneficiaries. Other national and international charities that receive Court funds include Habitat for Humanity, the Smile Train, and Catholic Relief Services.
Membership is open to Catholic women age 18 and over. All are welcome.
