Volunteer and live out the corporal and spiritual works of mercy through our Charitable Outreach and Food Pantry programs! Both financial and food donations are gratefully accepted. Please contact the Parish Office for information or to volunteer.
FOOD PANTRY - provides supplemental groceries to the needy. St. Peter's Food Pantry is held on the third Saturday of each month in the school parking lot. The food pantry is open from 9 - 11 a.m., with set-up starting around 7:30 a.m. You can assist those less fortunate by: helping to sort, bag and dispense grocery items, delivering food to shut-ins, and picking up donated food from government food programs and the Southern Maryland Food Bank.
Donations of food may be left in one of the baskets near the gift table at the back of St. Peter’s sanctuary or in the vestibule of the Parish Office. Top needs are spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter, cereal, jelly, canned meat and canned vegetables. Please do not donate perishable food or items packed in plastic bags. Please also avoid glass if possible. Thank you for sharing your gifts with those in need.
