The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) provides a broad overview of the sacraments, prayer, history and theology of the Church in a group setting, and is open to all who want to deepen their understanding of Catholicism.
OCIA is particularly geared towards those who are considering becoming Catholic or who need to receive sacraments for full communion with the church. Classes are broken up by age in order to facilitate age-appropriate catechesis.
The OCIA in English catechesis is held on Tuesdays from 7 - 8:30 p.m. and in Spanish on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on most Sunday’s that we have our faith formation sessions. We also provide formation for children ages 8 - 14 who need to prepare for the sacraments of initiation. This group (called Special Sacraments Time) meets from 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
